The Basic Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations (LGTF/GTFC) is a 5-day, DGS-approved programme designed for seafarers serving onboard liquefied gas tankers. Conducted in accordance with STCW Regulation V/1-2, the course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely participate in cargo operations involving liquefied gases.

The programme covers the properties and characteristics of liquefied gases, tanker design and cargo systems, cargo handling procedures, operational hazards, pollution prevention, safety precautions, and emergency response. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical learning, participants gain the competence required to work safely and efficiently onboard liquefied gas tankers.

Upon successful completion, candidates meet the mandatory training requirements for serving on liquefied gas tanker vessels in compliance with STCW and DG Shipping regulations.
