Description

Duration: 2 months
The Marine Engineer Officer (MEO) Class IV Competency / Preparatory Course is governed under STCW Regulation III/1.

Eligibility Criteria
To successfully enrol in the course and apply for subsequent MMD Class IV Assessment, candidates must fulfil the following parameters
Educational Profile: Completion of a DG Shipping-approved Marine Engineering Degree (B.Tech/B.E.) or a Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course.
Minimum Sea Time: A minimum of 6 months (183 days) of approved sea service as a Trainee/Junior Engineer.
Propelling Time: Out of the total sea service, a minimum of 4 months must be documented as active propelling time (machinery running days).
Documentation: Must possess a fully completed and signed TAR Book (Training and Assessment Record Book), valid CDC, Passport, and a company issued Sea Service Letter.
Medical Fitness: A valid physical fitness certificate from a DGS-Approved Doctor.
